To say it's been a hell of a year would be putting it mildly. We figured that we should ignore the bad and emphasize the positive, so here goes:
- At least one of us still has our health. (Karen's back has been really bad)
- There's plenty of time for those household projects we've been putting off. (Jeff got fired)
- Shadow and Fred are well.
- There will be lots more space in the house. (Maggie will be moving out in January)
- The car runs beautifully!
- Unemployment Compensation can be filed for over the phone and direct-deposited.
- We got a cable modem. (so we can download slowly 24 hours a day)
- Some employment attorneys accept cases on a contingency basis.
- My brother got married (for the last time).
So as you can see, not everything was bad!
